Turkey Arrests 33 AQ-Linked Suspects

By HERB KEINON Turkey announced Thursday that it had arrested 33 al-Qaida terror suspects in a plot to target Israelis and others. Ankara announced that anti-terrorism police had arrested 33 al-Qaida-linked suspects who had been planning attacks on Israeli, US and NATO targets in the country. KABUL, Afghanistan (CNN) -- Five U.S. service members were killed Saturday in two bombing attacks in Afghanistan, military officials said. Two soldiers died after their patrol struck a roadside bomb in eastern Afghanistan 's Wardak province, NATO's International Security Assistance Force said.
